Part Code

The part code is used to group items together so that the pricing section can present a quotation to a prospective buyer with sufficient detail to satisfy their needs. It also provides for simpler editing and manual removal of parts that may not be required for some quotes.

For example all items with the code 'F' will be grouped as part of the fan (excluding Impeller). Code SH is used to group shaft and bearing parts. Codes 001 through 010 are for the user to add special parts using the Add or Edit Item Button. If more than 10 special parts need to be added then some grouping under these codes may be required.
