Parts Database
Provides users with the facility to store special parts in a database for later retrieval.
The parts database can reside on a server so that all users of Centrix have access to them via a network connection.
Parts cannot be deleted from the database here. The parts can however be edited directly by typing in the grid cells (the code cannot be edited in the parts database but can be changed after adding it to the Add Part Detail from).
You can also perform searches in the database for a description or code.
If the search box is left blank and the 'Go' button clicked all records will be returned.
To add a part to the database :
1) The part must exist in the Add Part Detail Form first. You must type it in here.
In the Add Part Detail Form make sure you are on the row that you want to add to the parts database. Click on the Description cell if you are not sure
2) In the User Parts Database form:
Click the 'Add Part To Database' button.
Click 'Yes' to confirm the addition of the part or 'No' to cancel when the dialogue box pops up.
To use a Part from the database
1) In the User Parts Database form:
Click the row that you want to use
Click the 'Use Part From Database' button.
Click 'Yes' to confirm the inclusion of the part or 'No' to cancel when the dialogue box pops up.
A new row is added automatically if you click Yes.
