Multiple Duties

Centrix allows for the selection of a fan and calculates the Off Design or Net duty performance.

Screen Shot

You can only enter multiple off design duties after first making an initial selection of design duty.

Variable speed, Inlet vane control, Inlet damper control and Outlet damper control are all catered for. The correct accessory must be chosen before making the initial design duty selection.

Variable speed duties can be selected with or without other control accessories.

To change the control type click 'Options' at the bottom of the Curve Plot form and select the type of control you require.

To Enter and calculate a net duty do the following :

1) Click Duties at the bottom of the Curve Plot Form

2) The multiple duties form is displayed over the Details and Curve forms. Click Add Duty to enter the new required duty.

3)  The Duty requirements form is shown. Note that some of the controls are locked and the title of the duty is shown in the title bar. The design duty will be shown by default. Enter the new values required for the net duty then click 'Add Duty' at the bottom.

4) The new duty details are transferred to the grid of the multiple duties form.

5) click the Calculate button and then the Plot button to show the net duty point on the curve.

6) Add more net duties as required and calculate them.

Note that net duty points for vanes and dampers are scaled to the design duty density to show their relative position on the curve envelope. Variable speed curves are shown at the actual density for each off design point.

Note :

Multiple duties can be saved in the sales database only if the Quote ref is set to something other than the default temporary reference (Centrix-Temp)
